Ruzomberok is an old historical town, located in North part of Slovakia, surrounded by mountains. In the centre of Ruzomberok, there is a former Gothic church from the 14th century, the former late- baroque maison of Santa Sofia, later reconstructed. In Ruzomberok you can find the Museum of the "Liptov" Region and the gallery of the Slovak painter Ludovit Fulla. From Hrabovo, which is a recreational area of Ruzomberok you can get by furnicular to Maline Brdo Peak. Area around Ruzomberok is great for winter sport as well as for summer sports.
