Dr. Szontagh is cozy, small hotel with family atmosphere and very friendly staff. In the past this building was the house of the foundateur of the climate spa in High Tatras. The hotel offers accommodation in tiny as well as in spacious double rooms and suites, which are fully equipped and nicely furnished. Dr. Szotagh Pension provides breakfast room, café lounge and meeting room in hunting style. The hotel is great for relax stay as well as it is great starting point for hiking in summer and skiing in winter.

Stary Smokovec is the oldest recreation area (1797) in High Tatras. It is composed of the districts of Horny Smokovec, Novy Smokovec and Dolny Smokovec. In Novy Smokovec was built the oldest climate spa in Central Europe (1876). This area offers several hotels, restaurants, boutiques and outfitters. Here, you are within the touch of the tourist trials in warmer months as well as is an ideal ski resort in winter. Stary Smokovec is also famous for its mineral springs.
