Trencin is an administrative centre of the West Slovakia; it's situated at the foot of Strazovske Mountains in the valley of the River Vah. It's the only place in Slovakia, which existence was recorded in writing from the era of the Roman Empire. There is the Latin inscription on the castle rock from 179 AD. It is medieval town with colorful historical Main Square and castle. At the present Trencin is associated with the fashion trade fair, known as „Town of Fashion”.
